so far so good

A little update about me today.

So far this sem has been the most busiest semester for my study here.And according to my friend, Chia Ying who is also the senior of me, same month intake. She said that Year1 Sem 3 would be the most busiest semester of all.

Study

Perhaps I need to juggle between study and events that I join and run.It is just what my lecture taught in class today. Information overloaded. I have received large number of new information before I even able to digest the previous one. And in the note, it said that this is caused by advances in information technology. As a consequence, one is likely to respond to simpler messages. Like right now, I just want to blog despite there are many things that are more important than writing blog.

Effect:
1. Increase in errors:
 It does happen on me! Like Monday is 24th Feb 2014, I wrote Monday in 22th Feb. and then I have many typo recently.

2. Lowering of standards:
 Not sure whether it happens on me or not......

3. Escape from overload:
 No lar~~ I seldom.....except that sometime I really need to rest. I just sometime trying to escape from Facebook when I need to think consistently and write a good article for my assignment.

Really working rush to meet the deadline , you know?

Emotional

I only gained this insight this few days, and this thinking keep hover in my mind.People always said " You only started to understand/put yourself in other's shoes when you have experience so"


Because like.....I thought I will not react in over-reacted manner and respond in acceptable form,as it happens all the time, on others, nothing of novelty..... but when it happens on my close friend, I still couldn't believe it, how could she be so stupid to do that.


And I thought it's normal when I have done something, but the feeling is so so so so much different than you have just heard the it from your friend when you experience it yourself.


There are quite many things I thought I can face them steadily, but when I really come to confront it in real life, it is so much different than what you think.As soon as I realise this, I have to without any delay, change my mindset, trying to think it in another way, subjectively and objectively.And it took me sometime  to understand it is happening.


I have already know This is life before I experience this. but when the real life coming to you, Life is quite challenge. Why do I say so? Everyone know this thing, but the feeling is so different before and after.

English

If you don't know I am studying English Language for undergraduate level. I really think that I must really practice to SPEAK! It is so importnant. The more people I speak to, the more I realize how poor my oral English is. Really so poor until I feel like can "buang" already.....(instantaneous feeling).

I think I write better than speak. I contribute this to blogging more frequently than speaking. So I must speak ENGLISH!!!

Fortunately, I am only Year 1 now, which mean I have 2 years to brush up my English Speaking.However, if I just continue to speak in my mother tongue for the coming days, the level of poorness will still the same.Because I have been spending past 2 semester in my campus here, I don't think my oral English does improve in anyway lor...... I must really try to find every chance to speak English!!!!!

Joined a new village community service organised by DSSC(Department of Soft Skill Competency)

 If you are Chinese literate, the theme of this programme for this time is something that I like! Its School Recycle camp!

 The Opening ceremony, I guess everyone was enjoying watching the performance by these students, they already practice this for 2 weeks , really shouldn't cover their hard work and the effort, the creativity from teachers , they did so much to make this a success=).



(If you see carefully, there is a little angle girl with red pants, she is really A-DO_RA-Ble! only 5 years old, but can articulate clearly~~~why all the little kids so cute one~~~~??? wanted to take pic with her, but she refuse =(....she is the daughter of one the the teachers there)

One of my used-to-be favorite event, I still remember vividly how pity I cry, not pity la, everyone was crying, not in this programme but back to hundred years ago when I joined Buddhist camp last time.

I think these children are really so lucky, because they got to expose to this activity, cause I think my first time join this kind of turn-off light, candle-on (传灯)event was..my form 2 I think, that's why I cried so hard, cause I was just a fresh a participants mah~~~


however, the candle activity only last like 30 mins only, last time when I had this, its about 1.5 hours or more, cause they had to end it up early due to time-rushing.....



One of my greatest benefits of joining this activity...I get to know many new friends from Utar.Though don't really keep in touch, but memories but kept!

Hydrocarbon test on combustion and halogenation

So I starting this post with combustion test of cyclohexane and cyclohexene.If you wander how are their structural...This is it:

11st January 2013: Doing combustion test on cyclohexane and cyclohexene

Observation on cyclohexane: bright red luminous flame (as shown in the pic above), less sooty

Observation on cyclohexene: bright red luminous flame, more sooty due to presence of double bond

for both comnustion, the product is carbon dioxide and water, try to write the equation yourself. Don't forget to balance the equation afterwards.

Reaction with bromine in dichloromethane

A n B are cyclohexane
C n D are cyclohexene
E n F are toluene

Cautions:
Toluene or methylbenzene is hazardous!!Breathing in small amount of toluene will cause diziness, headache, just like any other paint.Large amount could make permanent brain damage!

A, C, E put in the dark place for 10 minutes
B, D,F under the sunlight

I got the idea to take some pics while our lecturer say we look like surgeons in this look,hahaha.

Be very careful when handle hyfdrocarbon, espcially unsaturated compound like alkene, arene, aromatic compound and PAH (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon). There are highly reactive and avoid smelling directly, and burning chamber and wearing gloves , and put on the mask!

Well, I used to wearing gloves while dealing with 6M of hydrochoric acid too!

Masterskill cocuriculum day

today was Masterskill Cocuriculum day, Well,its not a big event though, i just know it at last minute, perhaps this is people's habit, always tdoing things at last minutes, haiz.....

only until today i know MUCH (Masterskill University College of Health Science) has 'so much' clubs and associations. I expect Masterskill to has less club ady(indeed, it is), b ut luckily it is not thatlittle as i expect, before this, i though masterskill has only about 10 clubs only, but now it seems like a little bit more than i expected,hahaha.

I am on top of the moon!!! I love to dance so much, i was so so so happy when i got to know that there is a dancing class every week, yes, i need not to find dancing class outside anymore, I can learn it here with no transport problem and only Rm5 per months, this is the best solution!

 I not sure about there, I was there when there were distributing the cone, but then it was my lunch time, guys, eating rice first before ice-cream is a healtier option,hahaha, see How healthy am I.

Chinese Cultural Society

Look like i have not been update my blog long long time, okay, stop crapping.

But i really wanted to say something meaningful, or you can called it sermon....
I really found out that. if you do prepare well, you will really score well, you can present well too!

I did my presentation today, its a presentation about personality disorder, Panaroid Personality Disorder aka PPD, i think I did it badly, I dun even what was i talking about....haiz....thats the problem la, because last time, also the first time i did it, I really prepare so much, like 200%, I rehearsal 4 to 5 times before the real presentation. So...the conclusion, Prepare well is really important.

Secondly, I wanted to say that....what i want to say?.....wait, let me think for a second.I really manage my time so well here.

My university college CCS (CHInese cultural society) held a Chinese New Year celebration on Tuesday, and we had haunted house.I was snap with a "ghost" whose intially i think is the most scariest ghost. But no longer scary after several time enter and out from the ghost, as i am one of the crew helping there too!

 some of the ghosts, i thought they would have a horrible post, but their smile are so sweeet!

 Testing the game i am in charge of. I am the crew who work outside the haunted house la!

 reach there 7am to decorate our booth~~I still sleepy~~i Knew this is no a good excuse.

 

they were still many crews out there who were so so much commit to this event. Like anonymous A, he was injured during the martial art performance, very severe, but he still playing his role as a ghost.....clap for him~~~~, 

from 8am to 5pm.,they really did an awesome job.

I knew my hair is kinda messy, my coursemate even ask me whether I am a Sabahan?!!

Kemaman Mini Zoo trip

actually, i went there twice.

i combine my first visit and second visit together.
As too much of students need to look after, we did not really explore every corner of of the Zoo,like some students are height-phobia, so we did not pass through the hanging bridge,which the tigers and lioness will below your step''). i only attempt to step in those area during the second visit.

btw, i attempt to snap photo with this little cutey cab before i leave. My student did an awesome job!
