Maple's diary: PHotography Week

Today is Wednesday.
Before I forgotten. This week could consider a photography week for me.

#1 Agacia Land Photoshoot

We were only given less than 2 hours for graduation photoshoot. How is that enough. So we move on to Agacia Land, featuring assemeble of colourful Disney-like building.


Quite like this series, not only because it's pretty. But the people inside too =D
Classmates/Friends, play together, fooling together...
(me am not inside because i was talking on the phone for like 20 mins.. )

#2 Photoshooting for HUi Fen and Jia Li

Just when I thought I couldn't take photos with my beloved friends. (Not only 2 of them, there were som eothers like MC, Nicole the blogger...). Jia Li suddenly asked whether want to take photos together before he returned the rob.

So smart la, he can think that way...so here the mini and impromptu photoshooting session on.

 

Special encounter on first August in Sunday & Porki Society

As Sue Yee said, it is just a very special encounter. Initially we met in Porki Society because it's near my house. She wanted to pass me the cookies, homemade cookies from Deliccia because I am the lucky 200 person who like Deliccia's facebook page. (Hmm, am thinking to do a giveaway for my blog too, what do you think? )

 OKay,  I helped to promote xia, Deliccia not only supply homemade cookies baked by Single moms, she does catering and coffee also.

And here come the special encounter. While Sue Yue went to toilet, I just simply strolling, 38 (being nosy) around. Cause I see a man was so serious taking foods' photo (haha, this is how we get connected, passion for delicious foods, although I prefer to take people more than food, but he just look like so pro, I have to go and see, *walking there while thinking so)

The serious man that I meant.

sorry for those who can't read in Mandarin. Guess what, instead of his wife, he is the one cook for dinner at home! 

He was snapping this food picture for promotion purpose. Then Sue Yee and me just talked to him, and then the next minute we were eating the food, after he shooted them, hehe.

Then we continue to talk talk talk, disturbed him while he was busy photographing , and I also asking some food photography tips from him. Here is my photos. Maple's version of photos. My photos not bad also mar~~ 

BBQ  MOO TOD with Thai CHilli Sauce RM 15.90

 Grilled Porki with Signature Sauce Rm 15.90

Actually hor, I can taste a different for the pork, but it's still  mild spicy on both. Just the MOO TOD means BBQ pork and Grilled Porki means GRILLED =D

OKay lar, MOO TOD is just very tender and you will experience a sensational mild spicy while chewing it. It seem tasteless at the first, then surprise come after.

Grilled porki is moist, and saucy.

Tee asked us to eat it faster, cause the longer you eat it, the harder the pork became. Still it actually quite tender for me. WHERE GOT become Harder o?

Summary to Fifth Semester

Was upload pics from my handphone to laoptop few days ago. Looking into each photo really remind me of something.

 Sometime the farther we go, the more we tend to lose, due to change in environment. 

For instance, just now I want to turn off air-cond in my house, but then my brother insist not to, saying

" Don't you know about the ozone layer is getting thinner because of CFC and the stuff."

 Though I not sure my current aircond has CFC or not. But his word hit me, make me realise that how could I forget my hope to become environmental friendly. So in the end, I pull down the curtain, and turn the fan to maximum. Of course it's not as chilling as turning on air-cond. But this action make me feel good, I can save electricity and contribute to greener environment, haha.

 Eat nasi dagang on 30th sept 2014. I think that is during my last sem break. With boyfriend's family in dungun.

 Thanks Mary Jane for her invitation to Kontiki Food Review. I always wanted to blog this. But I am too busy to spare myself this semester.

 Awww~~~ I like this so much!! Chocolate cupcake, which you are allowed to decorate them yourself. The colourful erm...Idunnoewhat-thing really cheer me up!

First lesson of Japanese class, and the excitement last until the end of the class. Mr Lee is so far the only lecturer who will make us stay awake with his interesting, adventurous Japan's story in the middle of sleeping peak time. (After lunch time).

 First try on chicken rice, never know it's so easy until my friend, Yi Pei cooked it last sems.

Attend Friday tutorial Japanese class. She is Yamada San! She is so elegant, the kind I want to be in the future!

 Hiragana_the first row of so is wrong. Only the 2nd row is acceptable. Can see the difference?

 Be overwhelm that even a simple set of hiragana also have a lot of rules to master ti's writing!

That's how Mr Lee taught us!

 Welcoming night, took photo with these 2 pretty twins, I forgot their name, but this photo got quite 150++ likes! woohoo~~ see, they were so sought after.

 Cheesecake making in progress with my lovely classmates! I like eat cheesecake!!

 First try on manicure that cost me Rm12. The manicure doesn't last long. It teared off in about one week only +.+.

 And the very cure elephant henna. Sho cute!

 This dude play with my hp. Haha, he actually want to remind me don't simply put HP anywhere lar~~

 Temporary escape with Sweety Evon! We had a nice Thai Cuisine during the raining day. Love u, my love!

Left-handed or right handed? 

I seriously need 2 tables to study. Study table is full load of decoration, stationary, reminder note and all.

 This novel is enthralling! The conspiration, and her contradiction to be an ordinary person yet to be a sucessful one keep me engross. I can't finish it during day time. Cause during day time, I  got distracted by a lot of major and minor things. I read most part of it in the middle of night.

First time, from 12 - 6am. (during sem break)  

Second time, 12 - 3am (during final)

Reading this book draw me into another word. Away from stressful world. Hahaha, reading is a nice escapism too! Quite surprise that I actually can stay awake without feeling sleepy, only until 6am. I slept cause I felt guilty I didn't sleep. So, I guess you understand how the plot in this novel draw me to another world.

Sang my lung out! on the final day of my examination!

 Accompany friend to give talk 2 days later. I think I  look pretty here. Because of my expression or my eyebrow??

This is not the actual summary of my semester 5, It's only the photos from my phone I wanted to update it here. Since I don't usually post them, so here is it!

Food hunt: Zakka Loft, Ipoh

 DO you like the backdrop as I do? I because I do!

SInce yesterday is a Public Holiday, so we went to Ipoh, with the main purpose to buy a pair of spectacle as Evon's is broken. and I have a secret project to carry out also!

 Of course, usfie shouldn't be missed!

Wandering where we should have our brunch, we decided to choose a nearer place as I cannot wait anymore. KY already forewarn us the food there doesn't worth it's price. Still, we(Evon and me) decided to have a try at Zakka Loft attracting by its outlook.

Their setting is a bit of artistic, a bit like a fairy tales. It's so comfortable to have a tea session with your girls! Just the environment.

 Ukulele.For display and for sale

 Rarely see a ukulele with a fishy hole. (Later on, we hang around in Ipoh parade, and there is much more selection of ukulele which is cuter!)

I think Zakka Loft is not known of it's Bento, that I will talk about it later. But rather it's various type of aroma tea and cake.Their cake look quite appealing to me, would like to go there to try again next time!

 

 

 

Next, Zakka Loft also the place for various art&craft workshop. See the pics below, then you will know.

 And because of this, their decor is not very practical for eating, esp like eating heavy lunch. Like the table that we chose .....I am quite afraid to have any food split outside, cause I afraid the overall aesthetic view will be ruined.

And if you observe longer, you will find out that some of the table sets is suitable of art and craft function rather than for dining.

 Something funny that I spot, I quite like this idea =)



The food that we order???
Frankly, there is not much choice if you ask for fullness, the only food suitable is Bento.

 Steamed meatloaft with Salted Egg & Dried cuttle fish Bento Rm10.90

The one that ordered that Evon. Normal, standard, everything is normal and standard. Perhaps you can get it outside at Rm5? anywhere I am not complaining it, I do appreciate the nice environment. It's just Zakka Loft is not a place of heavy lunch (but of cafe, high tea, some sweet tooth)....like that lor~~

Homemade Wine CHicken Bento Rm13.90

My order, the salad is a bit sour spicy, so appetizing. The fruit on the top left is well seasoning! LIke! the fruit!Otherwise, it is just standard. And one thing I realised eating in this bento/compartment way, is really quite inconvenient, you have smaller space to cut the meat, and move of cutlery.

A cup of honey lemon? Lemon tea? for Rm 4



Would I come to Zakka Loft again?
For the cake, YES.

And there is no wifi there either, so I can't bring my laptop there to spare my time there despite I quite like their cozy envinronment.
