The Senses confinement centre @ SS7 Petaling Jaya Selangor.

 Things I like about this confinement centre. 

The environment, there are a total of 8 rooms in the 2.5 level bungalow. It is spacious, windly, well ventilated with great view and above all it has great lightning. 

So I would also like to take this opportunity to thank

1. June - my neighbour who first recommend this confinement center to me back in the year 2022. 

 2022 : during the birth of my first daughter. Fast forward to 3 years later, which is now Aug 2025, I come back to the same confinement center again with my second baby. 

It turned out to be a great choice. The experience matched my expectations, and actually even better in some ways. For example, the food now offers more variety and is exceptionally flavourful.

2. Sue and Irene

Back then, Irene was still in the center. She served me really well. 

Now, Sue is managing the confinement center, She is really hands on and great at problem solving 

3. The dedicated nurses

They are the one who look after my new born. and very patient. If you are a new mama, you can basically ask them anything. 

I literally asked them everything about how to take care of new born.They show me 

how to do swadle property, 

how to change diaper

Breastfeeding position

How to put baby to sleep

and answer many other big and small questions.  

They also understand we are still in recovery state (cant walk properly), and willing to offer help even on the tiniest things like

 turn on the light

bring me the phone

bring me the nursing pillow

  and even ask for their help to come up to my room to put on belly binder. 

4. The kakak and the chef 

The kakak here helping with other household like cleaning the room, serving the food, laundry, and serving the air mandi (herbs water for shower). They are very hands on. 

 

This is the example of the lunch /dinner. and guess what. The soup with the heavy ceramic bowl itself is quite burdened (heavy) already. Even when your eyes see the lunch set like this... The kakak have to carry this from kitchen, go up the stairs and sent and serve it on my table in my room. 

I tried to send this back to the dining table on the ground floor before, after done eating. and Damn...it is not ready for me to carry the empty dishes from my room..to the stairs and to the ground floor dining area. 

Everyday, when I see kakak carry the 2 jars of boiling hot herbal water for shower ...Visually estimated like  2kg ... up and down the stairs..I feel so bad for her waist. And she seems to did it effortlessly. So much salute to her. 

1. The problem solving skill in the founder. 

For eg… during TCM consultation. The doctor said that my body is heaty, she suggested me to cut down on red date also. And eat something mild and gentle, not too heaty, not too cold (like pineapple, coconut water)

If want to drink coconut water can, but need to cook or boil the coconut water. Actually I quite missing drinking coconut water. It is cold and refreshing. 

And then for the brown rice tea…I thought confinement centre also serve only 3 types of warm beverages to all the mummies

A. Red date - 2 mummies claimed to help in milk production after drinking red date, but not for me. 

B. Brown rice tea

C. Warm water 

Then I told the founder, Sue that i miss drinking the sweet beverage like red dates, 🤭🤭, then Sue offers to 

1. Switch the brown rice tea > Lemon grass + pandan (sweet, but naturally sweet)

2.Red date drink - make it more dilute due to my body condition. 

So from here, you can see that even my daily beverages also quite customised to our body condition. So really thumbs up to this. 

2. Great maintenance : The bungalow is still maintained at tip top condition even after 3 years. 

The centre in SS7 was established 2020. 

Then my first confinement : Sept 2022 

My next confinement : Aug 2025 (basically 3 years later)

I am a real estate agent, and believe me, even if I am not a property agent, it takes a great deal of conscious effort to maintain the cleanliness and reduce the wear and tear of a house. Because my own 900sf condominium also shows sign of wear and tear even when i try my best to maintain it. 

So only based on the tip top condition of the unit, it gives me a lot of confidence that the services here is quite good.
